Your first chart

Open a symbol, switch chart types, drop an indicator, save your workspace. End to end in five minutes.

This walks through the Spectra equivalent of "open a chart and place a trade" so you can ground-truth the rest of the docs against something you've actually done.

What it feels like — draw, watch price tag the level.

1. Open a symbol

Press Cmd+O (or Ctrl+O on Windows / Linux). Type a ticker — BTCUSDT, AAPL, ES1!. Hit enter. The chart loads in the active workspace tab.

2. Switch chart type

Number keys map to chart types:

  • 1 — candlestick (default)
  • 2 — OHLC bars
  • 3 — footprint
  • 4 — heatmap
  • 5 — TPO (market profile)
Press 1 through 5 — cycles candles, bars, footprint, heatmap, TPO.

3. Drop an indicator

Press i to open the indicator picker. Search for RSI, hit enter. It lands on a sub-pane below the price. Drag the divider to resize.

4. Save the workspace

Cmd+S. Workspaces survive restart. They sync across devices on Pro.

That's the loop. The rest of the docs go deeper on each surface — see Charts, Indicators, and Trading.
